MWL Update
Did some work on his face and hands. Base coated in acrylics, and detailed with oils.

Painted the jacket a dark red, and the vest metallic gold. I then masked off those areas to spray the front trim and inside of the jacket a lighter gold. You can see the latex still on. When I peeled it off it turned out pretty sharp, I was pleased!

I've got the lower half started, and then I can detail the rest with some shading. Not sure how I want to go about that with the vest, although I don't mind toning down the metallic quality of that a bit, as I want the eventual gold trim I'll be putting on the jacket with some enamels to really pop.

He's coming to life, the handsome old devil! You haven't mentioned the poor base yet -- I sent you some rope chips, didn't I?! That poor kit...but already the waistcoat looks like it was never busted. This is well worth the wait, Thad.
Well, it's only because I'm lucky to have patient fellows such as yourself, and if I'm going to take some time finishing it, well it better look damned good! I'm doing my best to try and make this as impressive as possible. The base wasn't that bad, lol. I hope to have it finished this weekend.
