The Lizard
Just a quick little update. Starting to paint the two Lizard kits, here is a really un-flattering picture.

I'm going to mix in some colors into the green, to break him up a little, but I'm not sure how far to go. I don't want to just paint him like some regular lizard, then I suppose he wouldn't look like The Lizard. But I can't just paint him green, or at least a solid green.
That's all for now, just wanted a kit-related update. And also, if you're into super-heroes and think what I've done so far is awful, or if I should really really just paint him green, let me know!

Hey Thad...
So far, so good, Glad to see you're still painting what with all the flooding you guys had...
Anyways, I don't have this particular kit, but I did build and paint the Mike Hill Spierman vs The Lizard kit and when I painted my Lizard (hmmm... that don't sound right... LOL) I painted him a brighter green, in line with the comic book color scheme and did a wash of paynes gray over that... I tlooks decent, but I am far from being any good at this.
Just thought you might like another perspective on this... Here's the link to the page on my web site that has the photos of the finished kit...

Hang in there and hope your doing ok with all the water related problems...

Thanks Mark that helps a lot! Without any clothing to go off of, I started to paint the inside of the mouth to see if he was already too dark or not, and seeing your pictures I do need to lighten it up considerably. And seeing how you painted the eyes helps too, in the comics they're always just glowing yellow/orange, but I prefer the lizard eyes like you did.
That's a nice build-up too! ALong with the figures, that street base is just perfect.
(and painting my lizard will be my new favorite euphemism, hahaha)
