Flood!
The Precipitation Gods hate Iowa. There are mandatory evacuations going on across the state because of flooding. After all the snow we got, with the non-stop thunderstorms, our rivers have had it. Too bad all the tornadoes we've had didn't run around and dry up the place.
From a local news website (KCRG.com)
"An incredibly dangerous flooding situation is occurring. This is a historic event and catastrophic flooding will occur in many communities through the next week or longer. Area river levels are cresting higher than first thought because these levels have never been seen before."
Lucky for me, I don't live near the flooding areas, but the city has gone crazy, it's like the end of the world out there.
Here's some pictures of Cedar Rapids, where I live.
This first one shows the water exploding up from the sewers.

And YES, that's a Kum 'n Go.

I'm sure by tomorrow there will be a ton of photos online. I would love to go about and take some myself, but there are so many sight-seers that it's making it difficult for families that are in the evacuation zone to get about. Plus, even though my home isn't currently in danger, it's pretty much impossible to get anywhere, as they've closed most of the bridges.
