Base

Quick note:  I fixed it so if you're subscribed, you will not get an email with every comment added.  Thought that might get annoying.
I decided to finish up the base before I did the figures.  Usually once I complete a figure, working on the base becomes booring.  Well, not this one I guess.  And I'll try not to whine too much about how "challenging" it was to build as well.  Went for a heavy handed look, to try and match the painted sets from the film.

The lamp is set up to be removable, for shipping.
Still have to work on her makeup a bit.  It's real heavy in the movie, her eye makeup in particular is almost as extreme as Cesare's.  Don't want to over-do it, though.  I also shaded her differently than normal, since her head is upside-down.

This is beyond my wildest hopes. That's the best rendering of this base I've ever seen. The shadow is insane.

For anybody thinking about contacting Thad for a commission, you should know that everything he says on the site about how he works is true. There's a lot of conceptual consideration about the look and feel you want before he ever starts.

Thad, I can't get over how it's all coming to life. S'gonna be a masterpiece. You are continually amazing.

But don't you have a wedding to prepare for?
